I have been overweight for much of my life, but that all changed for me about seven years ago because I became morbidly obese :-) Everytime I have tried to lose weight, I gain more, which appears to be the trend across the U.S. ; so, I tried something new last year. I did not focus on weight at all for the first six months, and this proved to be the fastest weight gain I have experienced. I went from 360 to 389 in four months, and I knew something had to change, but what???
My new focus - to heck with weight, I want to be healthy. I have made some groung rules for getting through the day and week. First, I need to eat at least six pounds of veggies every week. I also need to walk at least two hours a week. This two hours can be all at one time (so, I can still hit my goal in a bad week), or it could be stretched out over multiple days. Usually I eat about 9 pounds a week, and get about three hours of walking in...
How are things today? I weigh 374, and have more energy than I have had in years. I am starting to see a transformation in my personal taste. No longer is Mc Donald's food really good, and no longer is eathing Cream Cheese straight out of the package desirable.
I plan on posting here about once a month for my own records. If anyone starts responding I will probably post more often
